I’ve never met a cookie I didn’t like. And this oatmeal cookie recipe is virtually foolproof- churning out chewy, delicious oatmeal cookies every single time. I love those kinds of cookie recipes. Add in dark chocolate and tart cherries and I am in heaven.
Obviously, you need this information as well. It’s like a public service- if you have this kind of easy, go-to oatmeal cookie recipe, you must share it.

INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp vanilla
3 cups oats (not instant)
1 cup dark chocolate chips
3/4 cups dried tart cherries
DIRECTIONS
Cream the butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy (a couple minutes). Mix in the eggs and vanilla. Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and just barely mix (until you can’t see the flour in the batter). Stir in the oats, chocolate chips and cherries. Spoon onto a greased baking pan and bake at 350 for 11 minutes.
