Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year. What’s not to love about a holiday that revolves around yummy food and family time? Throw in a Turkey Bowl, homemade PIE, domino battles and Black Friday strategizing and the day catapults into Best of Year status.
I have to admit, though, my body is craving a heavy dose of vegetables today (ones not topped with crunchy fried onions, gravy, or coconut-and-pecans).
This “Kitchen Sink” juice is the perfect antidote to a giant holiday meal- tons of veggies paired with a little sweet from a pear and a little tart from a lemon. Delicious. And really good for you. Perfect for a day like today.
Everything but the Kitchen Sink Juice Recipe
1 bunch beets (3 or 4)
A couple handfuls of kale
*Optional- 1 celery stalk, a handful of spinach
Run all of the fruits and veggies except the lemon through your juicer (or blender). Juice the lemon with a citrus juicer. Combine. Drink!
