Almost all of the hard things about living here have a counterbalance- we don’t have Chick FilA, but we do have yummy Mediterranean food in abundance, there is no Target, but there ARE a.maz.ing, untourist-ed beaches, the produce is limited to what’s seasonal, but (turns out) it’s yummier to cook with seasonal produce anyway. And we are never (NEVER) lacking for great stories and little adventures!
For example, this week, I was invited by my friend to her former-neighbor’s-husband’s-cousin’s wedding (no joke). Even better, in a crazy turn of events, the photographer didn’t show up and all of a sudden me and my fancy camera were on stage photographing the wedding. HA! It’s a funny life, right?
ps- The real photographer showed up a couple hours late- she’d gone to the wrong hotel.
