sparkling blackberry rosemary lemonade recipe (the perfect addition to brunch, or to dinner on the patio!)This might be my favorite time of the year- spring blooms, warmer weather, pool days reappearing on our schedule (WOOHOO!), and all of summer stretched out in front of us. We love to grill out year round, but when spring arrives, it seems like our grill use doubles, as does our dinner guest tally. I love it!

sparkling blackberry rosemary lemonade recipe (the perfect addition to brunch, or to dinner on the patio!)We made this blackberry rosemary sparkling lemonade for just some guests the other night- with the berries plus the citrus plus the rosemary, it tastes like spring time! And it’d pair well with pretty much any dinner.

BLACKBERRY ROSEMARY SPARKLING LEMONADE RECIPE

Ingredients

12 oz package blackberries, plus another small package of blackberries to float in lemonade

3 cups water

1 cup sugar

5 sprigs rosemary

3 halved lemons, plus a lemon to slice and float in lemonade

Prepared lemonade (50-60 oz- a carafe from the grocery store like Simply Lemonade, or a can of lemonade prepared on the strong side will both work)

Directions

Make blackberry syrup by adding 12 oz of blackberries, water, sugar, rosemary and lemons to a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to make sure the sugar dissolves. Let simmer for 20 minutes and then let cool. Pass the syrup through a mesh sieve, pressing the blackberries and lemons to juice. Discard solid fruit.

Mix syrup with ready-made lemonade (I like to use a can of frozen lemonade and mix it with less water than called for on the directions on the can). Add blackberries, sliced lemons and a couple sprigs of fresh rosemary. Serve over ice.
