iced citrus white tea
Hi friends! I’m not gonna lie, as I look at pinterest, and friend’s facebook pages,  I am getting pretty jealous. It seems like fall is pretty near and things like pumpkin spiced lattes, football, and chilly weather are very close. This is the hardest season for me to live in a hot place because I love all things fall, but I’m trying to keep a positive attitude- and sipping this tea while looking at the ocean helps. So if you love summer, make this tea and hold on to the season a bit longer. You can still go have something pumpkiny and think of me though. 😉

Iced Citrus White Tea

Ingredients:
1 mandarin orange
1 lime
1 lemon
1/2 grapefruit
1/4-1/2 cup sugar (1/2 a cup is pretty sweet fyi)
4 bags white tea
4 cups boiling water
2 cups ice water

Directions:

Juice all the fruit. You might want to taste your grapefruit to make sure it isn’t too bitter- if it is bitter, use less. Boil water and dissolve sugar into the water. Add the tea bags to the boiling water, remove from heat and allow to steep for 5 minutes, then remove the bags.  Add the ice water and tea to a pitcher, then strain the citrus juices into the the tea.  Refrigerate the tea until its cooled completely.
