When I got married, I was young and naive and had no idea that I was making one of the most epic decisions of my whole life. I didn’t realize that marrying Adam would effect every. single. aspect of my life and change me in more ways than I can count.
And even though I was ‘in love’ with him in the mushy-gushy, I-want-to-spend-every-minute-with-him sense, if I could’ve looked forward, I would’ve sprint down that aisle as fast as my little legs could carry me. Years of unexpected adventures and much bumpier-than-anticipated roads later, I am far more in love with my husband than I was when I married him.
I mention this every year, but I love having Valentine’s Day around as an extra reminder to remind him (and be reminded myself) that the Lord was abundantly gracious when he paired the two of us, more gracious to me than to him.
Jord made this printable Valentine and is letting me use it and I thought y’all might want to use it as well (I asked her if it was ok first!). “You have my whole heart for my whole life.” Perfect right?
Love this. Love your sweet words about your husband, the reminder to cherish my amazing husband (whom I don’t deserve!), and this great card! Thank you!
Thanks Nicole. 🙂 We got good ones!
I know people hate Valentine’s Day, but I need the reminders to look up and realize the gift I’ve been given.
Glad this reminded you how lucky you are too. 🙂
