IMG_4466-001I mentioned on Monday that I bought that crazy-amazing pattern bundle deal (if you haven’t got one yet, I think the sale ends in the next couple days).

IMG_4360-001So I printed out five of my new patterns (Figgy’s Banyan tunic, Figgy’s Scirocco Dress, the Go To Shift Dress, Peekaboo’sย Alex and Anna Winter PJ’s and the Miss Mod Top by Seamingly Smitten) and spent an evening taping the patterns together, tracing and cutting fabric (and catching up on Hart of Dixie- do any of you love Rachel Bilson like I do?).

front and back, linen and sparkles banyan tunicI still have a decent amount of sewing to do, but I did finish up two Banyan Tunics, including this Linen & Sparkle version (since I used linen instead of jersey, I added a zipper in the back to make up for the lack of fabric stretch) just in time for the end of Winter Whites.

banyan tunic for winter whitesThree fun things about this- both Piper Jane and I love the way this little Linen & Sparkle tunic turned out (she and I sometimes differ in our fashion opinions, so that is not the simplest feat), we are about to have a heap of new and beautiful clothes around here (once I make my way through my cut-out-but-not-sewn pile), and I love having one more Winter Whites project to share with y’all (I love color, but I might love white/neutrals/metallics even more, so I’ve been loving this series).

Also, my little model (and her ‘ballerina buns’ as she calls them) is hilarious these days. These are a few of my favorite when-did-she-turn-16 outtakes. She’s showing us her sparkles in the bottom right picture, just in case you didn’t pick up on those.

Thanks for joining us for Winter Whites, friends- don’t forget to check out Delia’s last day of Winter Whites goodness as well!

ps- The pattern bundle I mentioned is available here (it includes the Figgy Banyan Tunic pattern and seventeen others for just $25) .

  1. LOVE your last comment about Piper! Every. single. time. I send a picture of my girl to anyone, the universal response is “what is she going to be like at 16?” OR “you’re going to have your hands full with that one!” Thanks for stating the obvious. Let’s just say, girlfriend isn’t lacking in the spunk department. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Love the tunic (especially the sparkle!).

    1. Dayna, I feel like you and I are kindred spirits in so many ways. ๐Ÿ™‚ Love that spunk (esp when I’m not the one to corral it- haha). ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I absolutely love this top. I am so excited to sew it up for Nat..eventually. There are so many patterns in that pack I want to get to. I am way impressed that you already got some printed and cut. You sewed this one up so so beautifully! And Piper is such a doll. Love her little pig tail buns.

    1. Delia, thanks for this sweet comment. Isn’t the pattern bundle sew-inspiring? I am *thisclose* to finishing up my Miss Mod top (it’s for me! Not Pi! So excited!), and the other Banyan tunic that I made for Pi is adorable as well. I still want to add a sequined heart to it, though. ๐Ÿ™‚
We’ve loved doing this series with you!

  3. Oh my goodness! Could she be any cuter!!!!! I love how the top turned out too. I’m itching to make some baby girl dresses right now. Switching Reese up a size revealed that she is majorly lacking in the dress department. And you just motivated me to get sewing.

    1. Thank you friend. I have a love/hate relationship with the next size up- I have a hard time letting them get bigger, but I LOVE ‘having’ to sew for a new size. ๐Ÿ™‚ Dresses are too fun- can’t wait to see what you make for Reese!

  4. I love the tunic! And your girl is beautiful:) I have to ask, where did you get her gorgeous shoes? Thanks!

    1. Thanks for the kind words, Laura.
And the ballerina flats are hand me downs from a friend- I wish I could tell you where to get them (they’re so cute, right?).

  5. What a little beauty!! She looks so big in these! Something about pulling their hair back does it, right?

I love this top! The sequins are perfect and I’m so impressed by how well it fits her in the shoulders and sleeves! Great job momma! I need to get to sewing some new wardrobe pieces for H. It’s already on the list. ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy weekend!

    1. YES- putting the hair up makes them look so big (Hannah too!). ๐Ÿ™‚
And thanks for the tunic-love… can’t wait to see what you make for your little miss too! ๐Ÿ™‚
