I am certain that y’all are familiar with the fantastic work and pretty pictures (and all of those fabulous free printables) from the lovely ladies over at The Crafting Chicks (I absolutely adore this blog and am certain that I’d be BFFs with these ladies if we met in real life!)… but why would I pass up the chance to share some a few of my favorite Crafting Chicks projects with y’all? Like this Chevron Blanket? Or those Easter printables? Or that minky blanket? Or that necktie necklace? Talented right?

Best of all, Nikkala from The Crafting Chicks is here with us to share a tutorial for a business card wallet today!

SNAP! is right around the corner, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned from attending conferences it’s that business cards are everywhere. Typically, you can find me digging around to find one to hand out, and the cards I gather end up a scattered mess. To help with this problem I sewed up a little business card wallet. It’s a small project and I found everything I needed in my stash. Fabric, interfacing, elastic, and vinyl. To start, cut 2 pieces of fabric and 1 piece of interfacing down to size. Mine were 4.5″ x 5.5″. I also cut the elastic to 6″ and 2 pieces of vinyl 2.5″ x 4″.Go ahead and iron the interfacing onto the back of 1 of the pieces of fabric and then assemble. I laid it out like I wanted and then added the top piece face down.Pin it all together. And sew. Don’t forget to leave an opening to turn through. Then turn it! The vinyl took a little working to get it out and laying flat, then I top stitched around making sure I closed up the hole.Perfect for the cards!
I added a simple flower and am so excited to “have it all together”….well at least in the world of business cards at SNAP!

Don’t forget to go say hi at The Crafting Chicks today! And then stop by Sewing in No Man’s Land for more Sewing for ME! goodness!
