back in action

June 6, 2011

After a whole week of gardening, fro yo-ing, sewing (but not any organizing- I think that plan might’ve been a bit ambitious), sister-ing and nephew-ing, and just generally soaking in family time, we are back in action around here.

projects and parties

Gosh, it feels like forever since we’ve had a ‘normal’ blog week! It was fabulous to have some time off, but it’s nice to be back. Especially with the absolute pile of projects (and party details) we have to get written up to share with y’all!

the cuties at Labor-Intensive Party #2

Word of advice- if you want to build a backlog of blog material- host two content-heavy series’ in a row. And then throw a couple of labor-intensive parties. It’ll solve your “What am I going to blog about?” problem for sure. It may or may not also give you nine hundred pictures to sort through and create an exasperated, “Oh goodness, where do I start?” feeling as well. But what do you do?

ps- During my week off I made not one, but two dresses. For me. If you remember, I sew almost exclusively for pint-sized ones (less fabric, less demanding models/body types- better for beginning sewers like me), so sewing dresses for myself is no small feat. Also, they are both dresses I would actually wear in public. That’s key. Can’t wait to show y’all!

I've missed you gals! I can't wait to see your dresses, I made three tops over the weekend (adult tops!) and I want to sew more for me, so I can't wait for the inspiration. 🙂 and to see your parties!
