baby mobile round up

April 15, 2010

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Since sweet Burke broke the Round 1 crib mobile (elephants, in case you were wondering), I’d like to make a new one for the teeny peanut.  Here are a few I’ve seen online:

Love this mobile made from vintage book cutouts at kirstencan

I think I’ve shown you this before- but I love this bird mobile at design*sponge

We have all sorts of shells that we could turn into a mobile (idea at allaboutyou)

Cute birdie mobile at craftiness is not an option

    Kirst,
If you're into the bird thing, this is the one I made for Laura's room: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/bird-mobile
Super simple, and she loves to watch the birds fly around in the breeze from the fan! Jill

I made some of the fabric birds for my daughter and just hung them into her crib canopy – she still loves them almost two years (gasp!) later.

A trick a seasoned mom once told me: lie under the mobile to see whether it's also interesting from below — that's, after all, the view your baby will have. It was eye-opening how many cute mobiles turned out to be plain boring!
