things to make: september

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

It’s a month of birthdays around here: our mama, my hubbie, my father-in-law. And of course, my September to-make list would be remiss without a few back-to-school items (as a former teacher, I LOVE this time of the school year!).Usually, crafting a homemade gift for my husband is not my best bet, but I love the idea of making him this bbq sauce (by martha) to accompany his NEW GRILL! Wouldn’t that be a perfect combo of present-he’ll-actually-love with something-with-a-homemade-touch?

For my father in law (or anyone who is either often cold or tense), this rice bag by v and co is perfect
This felt glasses case by wee folk art is perfect for my mama who can’t be without her reading glasses

I love this back to school lunch bag by the purlbee... I don’t have any kids going back to school this year, but I want to make one for myself!
For those of you (like my darling sis) that are sending your littles back to preschool- here’s an outline for how to make a toddler nap mat (tutorial by jenny garland)
