DIY storage: more fabric covered containers

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

before: clean, empty jars, containers and canisters

after: add a little fabric and turn those containers into fabulous DIY storage

A few ideas:
-felt is a supereasy medium to use when covering a container… you don’t have to finish the edges and it adds such terrific textural flair
-add fabric appliques (or even embroidery) to dress up a plain looking container
-instead of hemming my fabric scraps (the ones I used for the blue, green and yellow covered containers), I ironed the top and bottom edges 1/4″ in before sewing my tube-like casing… that way, the look is clean, but the project isn’t as labor intensive

I’m off to recover an Izze caddy and create some DIY magazine files… more to come!
