easter basket filler ideas (for toddlers through tweens!)

Christian Easter Basket Ideas

I’ve already said it- I LOVE EASTER. And also, I lovelovelove piles of ‘small gifts’ (things like themed gift baskets and Christmas stockings). Which means, of course, I seriously LOVE Easter baskets (like love them!).

And actually- I pretty much have a formula for filling Easter baskets- books about God/Jesus, a game we can play together (it has to be kind of small to fit in a basket), Easter treats (Reese’s eggs and Cadbury eggs are the faves around here), and a couple small gifts.

In case you were needing ideas, I rounded up some favorite Easter basket fillers that’ll still arrive before Easter.

how to make an easter treat grazing board

easter_dessert_grazing_board

We love doing it up for Easter around here- it’s my favorite holiday to make a big deal out of. (Which, admittedly, is a little trickier in the new Covid-changed-everything world). And also, I love grazing platters (or grazing boards, or treat platters). AND I have this fantastic (and giant) vintage bread board that looks […]

how to make gorgeous easter eggs

how to make gorgeous floral easter eggs

I need to add a quick pause to my Harry Potter Party goodness to share these Easter goodies (you know, before Easter). Stay tuned for more party goodness ASAP. After our flower-y, beautiful (albeit a bit high maintenance) Easter egg success last year, we decided to take a similar approach to Easter eggs this year. […]

chipotle deviled eggs

The BEST way to use up leftover hardboiled eggs- Chipotle Deviled Eggs!

The best side bonus of dyeing Easter eggs is, without a doubt, the deviled eggs that you get to make to use up all those leftover hardboiled eggs after Easter! And since we got an early start dyeing eggs this year, we’ve already made a couple batches. These chipotle deviled eggs are our favorites so […]

the most beautiful DIY easter eggs

the prettiest DIY floral easter eggs

Last year, on the night before Easter, the kids dyed all of our five dozen easter eggs in approximately seven minutes. This made a gigantic mess (so much splashing dye!), and also made my heart so sad (not kidding- even as a small child, I took FOREVER to make my easter eggs look “just right,” […]

loaded oatmeal cookies (with Easter candy!)

Looking for the perfect Easter treat (or just a great way to use up a pile of Easter candy)? Look no further than these loaded Easter candy oatmeal cookies!

We have a little dilemma at the end of each holiday called “What Should We Do with All of Leftover Candy?” Don’t tell my kids, but most times, a good chunk of it gets thrown away. However, after Halloween, I started experimenting with putting the chopped up leftover candy in oatmeal cookies and we all […]

family lent printables

easter countdown (like an advent calendar, but for lent!)

I think I mentioned how much I loved our family advent study a couple months ago. It was super simple, just reading one story each night from the Jesus Storybook Bible and hanging an advent ornament. But it was the first time I felt like our advent countdown has really helped us get our hearts ready […]

easter countdown

easter countdown (like an advent calendar, but for lent!)

I’ve mentioned this before- since Easter is our biggest holiday as Christians, I am always looking to make it a bigger deal around here. This year, I wanted to make an Easter Countdown (kind of like an Advent Calendar). In typical wait-till-the-last-minute form, we finished it up this afternoon. It starts after Ash Wednesday, which […]
