travel lego box

how to make a travel lego carrier

how to make a travel lego carrierThe idea of a travel lego box is totally not new (in fact, I made one for Burke a few years ago). But I put together a super easy version for our trip to Europe a couple summers ago, and now that same Lego carrier has now made its way around the world. It was so easy (SO EASY) that I thought I’d share.

how to make a travel lego carrierIn fact, this is more of a PSA than anything else. If you can gather supplies and use scissors, you can put this travel lego box together.

DIY lego carrier (for travel and easy transport)All you need is a container (I used a metal tin from The Container Store, similar to this metal lunchbox), a Lego Creator 3-in-1 set (having one set that can make three different final products maximizes your space!), a Lego baseplate (cut to the size of your container), a pouch or envelope for the directions, and (if you want) a sticky base plate and some adhesive lego tape to decorate the outside.

DIY lego carrier (for travel and easy transport)And then watch your kiddo break out this handy dandy carrier in parks and in airbnbs and in cherry orchards and on old stone steps and on trains and on planes…

how to make a travel lego carrier… and feel thankful again and again and again for SUPER EASY travel Lego boxes!

seoul city guide- a travel guide for families

Planning a trip to Seoul (or aren't yet, but will be after reading this city guide)??? This travel guide includes extensive recommendations of what to see and do (even better- it's written by a family that lives in Seoul!)

Friends, I am absolutely blown away by today’s city guide (part of our series of travel guides for families- written by families that live in those cities!). I have to confess, I asked Jess to write this city guide knowing full well that we had a trip to Seoul in the works. I did not […]

Paris city guide- a travel guide for families

As you know, Jordan and I both love (love love) to travel! And as we try to pass this love of travel and cultures and the world to our kiddos, we are always in the middle of planning a trip. Whenever I find a city travel guide written by a family that lives in that […]

hong kong city guide-a travel guide for families

Friends- we are beyond thrilled for this latest installment in our Family Travel Guide Series. Not only was our family’s trip to Hong Kong last fall a huge highlight of our year, we had the chance to hang out with our guest blogger, Emily, while we were there. And, y’all, she is one of those […]

family travel guides- kid friendly city guides

Guys, we seriously could not be more excited about a series that we’re launching this year- city guides for families that are traveling with kids! We both love (love LOVE) traveling. And we’re both trying to pass on this passion to our kiddos by, you guessed it, seeing as much of the world as possible […]

denver city guide- a travel guide for families

denver city guide- a travel guide for families

In preparation for our travels later this month, I have been scouring the internet for Hong Kong and Singapore City Guides, especially kid-friendly ones. And our recent Must-See travel list making has (unintentionally) generated quite the “When we go to Denver next Spring” to do list (which is pretty much a Denver City Guide for […]

the truth about travel with kids

the truth about travel with kids

I almost didn’t write this post. See, I read travel-with-kids blogs (lots of them, actually) and I am pretty sure there are families that really do pull off travel with kids without the bumps and detours that we run into. However, those blogs are primarily written by digital nomads (look it up, it’s a thing). […]

ten tips for travel with toddlers

I love looking back through the pics of our trips and seeing shots of Burke and Piper Jane, backpacks strapped on, trouping through airports (or sitting on the metro next to sweet Greek grandmas). Who would’ve guessed that they’d turn out to be such great little travel buddies? I was definitely pleasantly surprised by how […]
