travel lego box

how to make a travel lego carrier

how to make a travel lego carrierThe idea of a travel lego box is totally not new (in fact, I made one for Burke a few years ago). But I put together a super easy version for our trip to Europe a couple summers ago, and now that same Lego carrier has now made its way around the world. It was so easy (SO EASY) that I thought I’d share.

how to make a travel lego carrierIn fact, this is more of a PSA than anything else. If you can gather supplies and use scissors, you can put this travel lego box together.

DIY lego carrier (for travel and easy transport)All you need is a container (I used a metal tin from The Container Store, similar to this metal lunchbox), a Lego Creator 3-in-1 set (having one set that can make three different final products maximizes your space!), a Lego baseplate (cut to the size of your container), a pouch or envelope for the directions, and (if you want) a sticky base plate and some adhesive lego tape to decorate the outside.

DIY lego carrier (for travel and easy transport)And then watch your kiddo break out this handy dandy carrier in parks and in airbnbs and in cherry orchards and on old stone steps and on trains and on planes…

how to make Rifle Paper Co. inspired felt flowers

I love Rifle Paper Co., y’all. I love the Rifle Paper Co. FABRIC and their city prints and their gift wrap (and did I mention their fabric?). SWOON. I also love felt flowers (ok DIY flowers of all kinds, but I have a special place in my heart for flowers made out of fabric). I’m […]

a gorgeous summer dress (and some tips for batch sewing!)

the sweetest summer dress- and some batch sewing tips

Y’all, the calendar keeps throwing me every time I look at it- I feel like it was just Christmas, and yet school is out for summer already! Our June calendar is blissfully empty (except for all of the time we are spending at Schlitterbahn and our neighborhood pool). And we are SO excited to head to […]

darling dress in 20 minutes (made from a tote bag!)

how to make a supercute little girl's dress in 20 minutes

Last week I shared a whole pile of dresses that I made for Pi last summer. This dress was part of that lineup, but also comes with the easiest make-your-own directions ever, so I thought I’d share them. But let me back up- when I saw this darling romper (that Miranda made from a fabric […]

a pile of piper-dresses

a pile of piper dresses

Pi and I are currently making plans for her Easter dress (choosing fabric, her pointing out dresses she loves, etc). Which reminded me of the PILE of dresses I made last summer when sewing and reading (and so much prayer) were my therapy in an extra rough season. And I never shared any of them here! […]

how to make a girl’s poncho

Before we went to New Zealand last spring, I made Piper Jane a little poncho. She wore it the whole trip, and it became one of her go-to’s. Now that we’re in New Braunfels ‘winter,’ she has been wearing her poncho all the time again. And since it was seriously SO easy to make, I thought […]
