gourmet cookie dough recipe and edible Christmas gift ideasI may or may not have been *slightly* late to the game in figuring out that I need gifts for all of the wonderful people that work at Adam’s office. And then I may or may not have spent an afternoon weekend perusing pinterest and all sorts of old blog recipes trying to figure out the best edible Christmas gifts (there are so many good ones by the way! I’ll put together a list of ideas at the end of the post).

EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH RECIPE

Ingredients

3 1/2 cups flour (heat for a couple of minutes in the microwave before using to eliminate ecoli risk)

3/4 cups sugar

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1 tablespoon salt

1 cup melted butter

1 Tbsp Mexican vanilla (or use vanilla extract)

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

1/3 cups whole milk

DIRECTIONS

Stir together dry ingredients, add melted butter and vanilla, stir in chocolate chips and then add milk. Each batch makes 8 or 9 half pint (8 oz) jars.

Also, the gourmet cookie dough labels are here (both the jar labels and the box labels).

I am so excited to make these! They look adorable and will make a great gift for a big group! How do you store the dough and how long can it be stored for?

These are the perfect gift to make in bulk! I put the jars back in the boxes they came in and stacked them in the fridge. The dough definitely lasts for a couple weeks, though it never lasted that long. 😉 Happy gift making!
