customized 2013 blog planner by kojodesignsI know, I know, we’re only eleven hours in. But I have some seriously great news that I feel the need to share immediately.

Get ready for it.

My 2013 planner is completely blog (and chore!) customized.

customized blog plannerSee, I have a thing for lists. And a thing for planners. And a thing for organization. So this little trifecta of list-planner-organization goodness is, truly, the best news yet in 2013.

customized 2013 planner with chore listsNot only is there a space for my blog to-do’s each day (so I can keep track of my blog posts, facebook-ing and twitter-ing), but my daily house chores are all in there. Listed out. In such a lovely and organized fashion.

chalkboard front cover 2013 plannerdecorated chalkboard back cover, 2013 plannerOoooh, and on top of all of that, there is chalkboard space in the front and the back (my sister and nieces drew all of those fabulous back cover illustrations with chalk markers last night)…

customized 2013 planner…an ‘Idea’ section in the back just waiting to be filled with House Ideas, Sewing Ideas, Winter/Spring/Fall/Summer Ideas, Party Ideas and Shower Ideas.

customized 2013 planner by kojodesignsMy excitement level about this little planner is really high (like, a bit uncalled for high- the little things right?). Watch out 2013… I’m organized and coming for you.

  1. will you make me one? pretty, pretty please? funny thing, i am (sort of) organized like that now. makes my husband nuts. i love me some notes & lists….but the ahem, following of such lists? well, let’s just say i am GREAT with ideas but the execution is where i need a little help…

    1. dayna, you make me laugh. ๐Ÿ™‚ I feel like being organized is the name of the game, right? especially with littles.
and I think EVERYONE is better with the ideas than the execution. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. laughing out loud liZ. I’m trying to put together a tutorial- though, it was really labor intensive (not the planner-making part, putting the days/chores/blog column together- haha!). ๐Ÿ™‚
speaking of ‘seeing’ each other- will you be at SNAP???

  2. Gosh, I love super organized stuff like this. Even in college I used color coded gel pens (gel pens!) to zig zag around test, double underline paper due dates, star important assignments, etc. What is it about portraying something beautifully that makes even the most tedious of things seem more manageable, and dare I say, fun(ish)?

Also, totally reading through your list of weekly chores and feeling like a terrible housewife. How often do you mop and vacuum? Tell me it’s not daily. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Erin, we are kindred spirits for sure. Gel pens were a big part of my college experience (and color coding, actually). HAHAHAHA! ๐Ÿ™‚
And I think that making something look nice is a surefire way to make it get more use- it’s like buying nice hand soap- totally worth it if I wash my hands more often. ๐Ÿ™‚
Also, laughing at your assessment of my chores. There is VERY little carpet in our house, so almost no vacuuming (even the kids room and our room have wood floors). And I only really clean one room a day. So, yes, I sweep/mop every day, but sometimes I only am mopping a 10×10 room. Hope that makes you feel better. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Good to see your name in Arabic down at the bottom of the back cover. That must have been Jordan. How did she pick up the script so fast ? And the writing’s pretty good , I must say ! Great art , overall!

    1. Hey Shireen- yep, that was all Jordan. They lived in the middleeast before (5 years ago) and both speak Arabic. ๐Ÿ™‚ And I love the art as well- thanks!
