Hi friends! Sorry for the lack of posts lately, we have been out of town. Did I mention that my 30th birthday was at the end of July? It was. And it was awesome. First- Kirst, my bestie, and my husband collaborated together to do a 30 Days of Love for me (30 presents from 30 people the 30 days before I turned 30). Y’all- you have to do this for people you love! It was SO fun to get a little something and an encouraging note everyday for a month from people I love! It is just the best way to make someone feel celebrated.
As if that wasn’t enough, my husband planned an amazing 5 day trip without kids to Prague with a quick stopover in Istanbul! Prague has been at the top of my list for quite some time and it did not disappoint.

We had a wonderful time and came home refreshed (and missing our kids terribly) and I just felt so thankful to have such a wonderful birthday with my best friend. It has been a great month of ushering in a new decade and I am excited for everything the 30’s hold! Happy weekend, everyone!
p.s. don’t forget to enter the Southern Fabric Giveaway!
Wow! What a fantastic birthday and hubby! The one picture looks a little like Budapest, which is my favorite city. I’ve never been to Prague. I hope to get there someday. Happy Birthday!

omigosh what an amazing trip! i turned 30 last fall and my husband and i just took a sans-kids trip to San Francisco for the weekend. it’s not Prague/Istanbul, but it was pretty fantastic regardless. 😉 welcome to your 30s!
happy birthday! How nice you get to travel for your birthday!
I have been living in the states more than 10 years now but I am originally from Istanbul, Turkey. I am glad you guys get to travel many places especially Istanbul =)
Emel- your home city is beautiful! 🙂 Can’t wait to go back someday!
Kristin;
there are tons to visit in Turkey, ephesus, Cappadocia, pamukkale is some of those places. Just let me know when you visit again and I can recommend places to go in detail. hugs!
Emel- will do! 🙂 And we visited Ephesus while we were there in June (separate trip than my sister’s 30th birthday)- one of the highlights of our trip. I will email when we plan our return so I can get details from you!
Okay, Ah ofcourse I forgot to tell you I adore your (and your sister) blog!
When I turned 30 I was seriously sick in bed with my second pregnancy. I am hoping for something awesome when I turn 40 🙂 I loooove travelling, so glad you got to go!
I hate that for you! I was super sick with both pregnancies- yuck! We share your travel love (both Jord and I)… here’s to 40 being somewhere exotic and fabulous.
