our drop in the bucket

January 18, 2010

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

We have been just torn apart by the news and pictures of the devastation in Haiti.  Third world medical relief work is near and dear to our hearts (it’s the reason Adam applied for dental school), and watching the desperate circumstances and need is heart breaking, isn’t it?

Fully knowing that our small effort will only make any sort of difference when pooled with other efforts, we are putting together “Our Drop in the Bucket,” our (admittedly small scale) way of contributing to the much needed relief efforts.

This Thursday, January 21st, we’ll be hosting a day of fund raising.  100% of the earnings from the sales of our stationary and valentines on that day will be donated to organizations helping in Haiti.

Actually, y’all, we’d love to have your help here!  You can help in three ways:

1- Buy stationary and valentines!  If you’ve been considering getting something for yourself, or for a friend, Thursday is the day for you!
2- Send people our way… we’d love nothing more than for you to refer people to our fundraising effort!
3- Donate your labor and supplies.  If you want to join us using your online store or etsy shop, let us know and we’ll promote your efforts here and at the kojo etsy shop.

*** Sorry I bumped the fruit leather post- this is more important.  I’ll have it up tomorrow!

I love this idea! I'd love to be involoved. My heart just breaks for the people of Haiti…

I will donate 50% of every sale to Compassion International's Haiti Relief efforts.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do!

I will definately be buying some cards! Yours are adorable!
