watercolor painted wooden silverware

add watercolor paint to wooden/bamboo silverware for perfectly customized party cutlery!

add watercolor paint to wooden/bamboo silverware for perfectly customized party cutlery!I have been smitten with bamboo silverware ever since I saw it as part of a laid back, picnic-y wedding in a Martha Stewart Wedding magazine onceuponatime. It’s like the hat trick of cutlery- it looks great, it’s easier on the environment, and the possibilities for customization are endless.

add watercolor paint to wooden/bamboo silverware for perfectly customized party cutlery! The wood helps the watercolors to blend, so all you need is a diagonal stripe of yellow (be sure to start your line of painting well away from the part of the silverware that will be put in the mouth), another of orange, and another of red. With a couple dots of water to blend the edges together and some time to dry, you’re finished!

"mini birthday party" kid's table (put together in 45 minutes with on-hand supplies!)Since these could match every color palette possible (and since we have watercolors out almost every day), I see us making several more sets of these in the future! Aren’t they fun?

As you probably know, I pretty much love pulling out all the stops for kid’s birthday parties. Give me a Donut Bar or sparkly treat table to put together and I’m a happy girl. And don’t get me started about my unquenchable love for favors (and the direct result of that love- overstuffed favor bags […]
