citrus iced white tea

citrus iced white tea

iced citrus white tea
Hi friends! I’m not gonna lie, as I look at pinterest, and friend’s facebook pages,  I am getting pretty jealous. It seems like fall is pretty near and things like pumpkin spiced lattes, football, and chilly weather are very close. This is the hardest season for me to live in a hot place because I love all things fall, but I’m trying to keep a positive attitude- and sipping this tea while looking at the ocean helps. So if you love summer, make this tea and hold on to the season a bit longer. You can still go have something pumpkiny and think of me though. 😉

Iced Citrus White Tea

Ingredients:
1 mandarin orange
1 lime
1 lemon
1/2 grapefruit
1/4-1/2 cup sugar (1/2 a cup is pretty sweet fyi)
4 bags white tea
4 cups boiling water
2 cups ice water

Directions:

Juice all the fruit. You might want to taste your grapefruit to make sure it isn’t too bitter- if it is bitter, use less. Boil water and dissolve sugar into the water. Add the tea bags to the boiling water, remove from heat and allow to steep for 5 minutes, then remove the bags.  Add the ice water and tea to a pitcher, then strain the citrus juices into the the tea.  Refrigerate the tea until its cooled completely. Serve over ice.

blueberry rosemary sangria recipe

blueberry rosemary citrus sangria recipe

A few summer’s ago, one of my dear friends, Erin, brought Rosemary Blueberry Sangria to a summer barbeque. Ever since then, every time I want to make sangria, I think about Erin’s drink of fabulousness. Last weekend, I was in charge of red wine sangria for a baby shower and got ahold of the Blueberry […]

merry and bright christmas drinks

Hi friends! Its been awhile. We have been scrambling around here trying to get everything in order to come home for the holidays! We are coming to the US for Christmas (in fact, we are probably on our lo-ong flights home as you read this!) and I cannot wait to squeeze some necks and stroll […]

watermelon agua fresca: a farewell to summer

Here we are, inching closer to the end of summer. This is usually not a hard time for me (like it is for Kirst) because fall is my absolute favorite season. I once tried to convince Drew that we should have 4 jobs, in 4 locations around the world and live in a perpetual fall […]
