Grazing platters and grazing tables are an idea I can really get behind- I love ‘snack-y’ foods and dips and these platters just seem like bigger scale charcuterie boards. But dessert grazing platters? Those deserve my next-level affection.
A gorgeous tray filled with a huge variety of bite sized desserts and treats? Um, yes please. Even better, you can basically tailor a grazing dessert platter to any occasion or color palette (like I said- next level).
When I was helping with a birthday party and the color palette was ‘sunrise colors,’ I knew an ombre matching dessert platter was an order.
(Since we’re coming up on easter, some of the pink/orange/yellow treats I found were easter candies, so you could totally call this an Easter Dessert Grazing Platter as well! So versatile, right?)
The directions for making these platters are truly so simple- wander through all of the dessert aisles of your favorite grocery and treat retailers and gather small quantities treats and desserts in your color palette and add to your platter.
For this specific ‘sunrise’ platter- it was easiest to add treats in a coordinating bowl in the center of the round tray and to arrange the candies/cookies/treats as ombre ‘rays’ around the circle.
Can’t wait to try this again for other holidays- dessert grazing platters for every occasion, here I come!
