cotton candy bar

A Cotton Candy Bar (the most fun dessert table)

A Cotton Candy Bar (the most fun dessert table)I have a confession to make- I love cotton candy. Like love it. I know it is kind of considered a treat for kids (or “fair food”), but it is pretty much my favorite.

A Cotton Candy Bar (the most fun dessert table)My girl loves cotton candy too, and requests it for every birthday party.

A Cotton Candy Bar (the most fun dessert table)This year, we took it up a notch and did an entire Cotton Candy Bar for dessert.

A Cotton Candy Bar (the most fun dessert table)We got a little mini cotton candy maker (which we set up on the porch- because mess).

A Cotton Candy Bar (the most fun dessert table)And Piper Jane (and her little party guests) loved every minute.

A Cotton Candy Bar (the most fun dessert table)Seriously, y’all, if you want to charm a houseful of five and six year olds- COTTON CANDY. Also- sugar high times a houseful.

woodland pie party (with a fabulous pie bar!)

What better way to ring in fall than with a pie party (complete with a pie-tasting buffet of course).

For how much we love pie during the summer (which is a lot… because, strawberry plus rhubarb), fall seems to waken a pie monster around here that Requires Pie. And More Pie. Pair the Pie Monster with the fact that there is this magical-woodland park here in Saipan and, really, it was only a matter […]

DIY hot cocoa bar (and shopping list)

I think that every winter party might just need a hot cocoa bar. Warm, cozy and delicious- I can’t think of a time that a buffet of hot chocolate wouldn’t be a party favorite. The hot cocoa bar at the Chocolate Shower was definitely a highlight (and I will be adding this little feature to […]

kung fu panda birthday party

panda birthday party

So this party happened in June. And we’re just getting the pictures up now. Better late than never, right? Have I mentioned that I love it when Jordan and I have the chance to throw parties together? Since there is this giant, pesky ocean between us, it doesn’t happen much. But when we are together, […]

sayla’s puppy party

As I said yesterday, Sayla requested a puppy for her birthday (I think Kead set her up to it), but we are not at a place in our lives to add a new family member so we opted for a puppy party instead. It was a fabulous success. I mean, little girls staring out the […]

sprinkled with love birthday party

We laughed when Piper Jane asked for a “Sprinkle” themed birthday party. Her sweet tooth is renowned in these parts (second only to her mama’s), so a sprinkle party is perfectly suited for the Little Miss Priss’ second birthday celebration. Decked out in some sprinkle accessories- a sprinkle barrette and sprinkle corsage- the birthday girl […]

kojo tutorial- DIY cake pop stand

With my love for all things Cake Pop (and their frequent party appearances), I’ve been meaning to come up with a quick and easy (and cheap!) DIY Cake Pop Stand for awhile now. After putting a few functional-yet-easy-on-the-eyes cake pop stands together for Adam’s grad party, I’m sorry I waited so long to make them. […]

an angry birds birthday party for burke

You guys are probably better parents than we are- you probably don’t hand over your cell phone/iPod/iPad to bribe your Smooches with Angry Birds. But we do. And so Burke has deep love and great enthusiasm for Angry Birds Rio (and Letter School… and Cut the Rope… I could go on, but I won’t). Of […]

sips etc. red-and-white blog launch party!

You know when you’re having such a great time at a party that you don’t want to leave (or if you’re hosting, you don’t want your guests to leave)? That’s how I felt Saturday night. It was the perfect combo of low maintenance menu and decor, fabulous guests, having the chance to actually visit with […]
