I may or may not have been *slightly* late to the game in figuring out that I need gifts for all of the wonderful people that work at Adam’s office. And then I may or may not have spent an
afternoon weekend perusing pinterest and all sorts of old blog recipes trying to figure out the best edible Christmas gifts (there are so many good ones by the way! I’ll put together a list of ideas at the end of the post).
Because Christmas presents. That you can make. And they can eat. So many wins.
Since we pretty much love the newest craze of gourmet-uncooked-cookie-dough, that is what we’re going with this year- SO delicious and fun!
And then, because of my ridiculous love of packaging, I ended up making little cookie dough kits. SO CUTE, right!?! I’m sure you are more on it than I am, but if you need a yummy last minute Christmas gift, this one is easy and cute (and you might have the ingredients on hand).
EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH RECIPE
3 1/2 cups flour (heat for a couple of minutes in the microwave before using to eliminate ecoli risk)
3/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup melted butter
1 Tbsp Mexican vanilla (or use vanilla extract)
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1/3 cups whole milk
Stir together dry ingredients, add melted butter and vanilla, stir in chocolate chips and then add milk. Each batch makes 8 or 9 half pint (8 oz) jars.
Also, the gourmet cookie dough labels are here (both the jar labels and the box labels).
Just in case you need them- nine other delicious edible Christmas gift ideas-
Salted Caramel Sauce (give alone or as part of a “make your own ice cream sundae” gift pack- fun and YUMMY and easy!)
Cookie Butter Puppy Chow (or call this Reindeer Munch- because, festive!)
