DIY grill rubs (with free printable spice packets)

DIY grill rubs for Father's Day (with FREE printable)

These DIY grill rubs are the perfect present to mix up for Father’s Day (or any other guy-gifting occasion).

I might’ve mentioned once or twice that Adam is not the *easiest* person to buy/make presents for. But years ago, I made DIY grill rubs from some spice mix recipes here on the blog and they were a huge hit, so I thought it was time to try it again!

I couldn’t find any jars or containers that were the right size for grill rubs (and no amazon prime here in New Zealand- BUMMER!), so I made these spice packets instead.

how to make DIY spice rub packets

I printed out each of the grill rub descriptions onto kraft wrapping paper and then assembled the packets with hot glue (leaving the top edge open, obviously). Then I portioned out the spice mixes into clear cellophane bags and tucked them into each packet.

Since it seems I’m not the only person with a hard-to-buy-for spouse (or dad! or brother! or boyfriend!), I thought I’d share the printable grill rub packets on here. I used a couple of the grill rub mixes from this post, and a couple old favorites.

There are printables that say “smoky honey habanero,” “black and bleu mix,” “sweet heat rub,” and “mediteranean mix,” (as pictured). There are also blank copies of each packet included so that you can customize the printables to your favorite grill rub recipes. There’s also space on the back to cirlce the level of heat (mild, medium or hot).

I can’t wait for Adam to open these! And am so excited to get to benefit from the grilling-goodness to come from these spice mixes! Happy guy-gifting, friends!

mother’s day goodies

free mother's day printables "love you beyond measure"

First, how is it May!?! Second, how is Mother’s Day almost here? We currently don’t live close to either my mama nor Adam’s, but we do have several women that are dear to us that we want to drop off Mother’s Day goodies for this next week. When I was putting together little packages for Teacher […]

printable macaron gift wrap

pretty printable macaron gift wrap!

Oh friends! It seems like a macaron kind of Tuesday, doesn’t it? Not only are macarons one of Piper’s favorite treats in all the world, they are just so pretty aren’t they? Almost too pretty to eat! But, of course, not quite (haha!). And what better way to deliver a package filled with macarons (or, […]

grace upon grace

free printable scripture- "for from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace" John 1:16

I have two long running themes in my life (aka- lessons that I keep learning over and over and over again). The first is that God’s way is always better. And the second is that there is grace and redemption and blessing in every single season- on mountain tops and in valleys, in seasons of […]

free printable thanksgiving leftover labels

free printable thanksgiving leftover labels

Even though I can’t quite believe Thanksgiving is almost upon us (the tropical paradise weather isn’t helping me recalibrate), it is! And I love Thanksgiving! And I really love leftovers! Hence the need for some new Thanksgiving leftover labels. Truth be told, our Thanksgiving this year is going to be kind of funny- we’re spending […]

what you need at your thanksgiving spread

what you need at your thanksgiving spread- tons of PIE (post includes free pie poster downloads until Thanksgiving!)

My internal season gauge is all messed up (going from endless summer back to normal fall and then plunging back into summer again will do that to you). I looked at a calendar this weekend and seeing “Thanksgiving” coming in two weeks was quite the shock. Thanksgiving? Already? How are we here already? Which brings […]

free printable lego gift wrap

fun (cheeky) way to wrap Legos- free printable gift wrap

I am so excited about this printable Lego gift wrap y’all. Seriously. Allofthehearteyes about it. And here’s why- pretty much every time I give Legos as a present, the recipient knows they are Legos. In Burke’s case, it’s because his entire wish list is Legos. But even for Piper (who usually receives an even mix […]

free father’s day printable questionnaire

free printable father's day questionnaire

Eeeek, y’all, Father’s Day is this weekend. As in, three days away. Adam’s gifts this year are all tied to our trip to New Zealand in the spring (aka- a night at a fishing lodge, a day with a guide, etc.), so the kids and I have been brainstorming ways to make Father’s Day special without […]

free printable mother’s day cards

free printable mother's day cards

Either one of us could easily write a whole year of posts in honor of our mama (maybe we’ll put together a tribute post before Mother’s Day- she really is absolutely the best). Until then, we’re focusing the next couple of weeks on fabulous DIY gift ideas that would work well as Mother’s Day gifts. […]
