9 cups Chex cereal (I used Rice Chex)
1 cup chocolate chips (I used semisweet)
1/2 cup cookie butter
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Measure out Chex cereal and set aside in a large bowl. Melt chocolate chips, cookie butter, and butter for 1 minute in the microwave. Stir in vanilla. Heat for another 15-30 seconds (until mixture is smooth and easy to pour). Pour over Chex, mixing to coat all of the cereal with the chocolate sauce. After all of the cereal is covered in chocolate, slowly sift powdered sugar into the bowl, stirring to add a layer of powdered sugar on top of the chocolate coating. The first layers of powdered sugar are absorbed into the chocolate- take your time on this step to make a nice powdered sugar topping. Store in an airtight container until you serve.
