This is Burke’s number one hobby, translated into Valentine form. He was over the moon to gather little packets of Lego’s for all of his friends!
If any of you have little Lego lovers, these printable valentines might just be the one for them as well.
Just print the lego bag toppers and tape/staple to the top of a clear favor bag (I found these at Joann’s). And voila- fabulously personal Valentine’s for your little builder to hand out to their friends!
These are awesome! This is my son’s number one hobby also! Maybe it should be called an obsession in our house though 🙂
Obsession is a good word for it Teresa! 🙂 They were one of my favorite toys when I was little too- though my son’s Lego Passion blows my lego love out of the water. 😉
I love this idea! So incredibly simply, and no candy involved! Thanks for sharing!
Julie, YES, I’m always looking for no-candy Valetines ideas too! Stay tuned- my daughter chose bows for her girl friends and I’m working on printables for those as well. 🙂
Fabulous idea and a very nice alternative to the sugary candy that normally accompanies a Valentine. But your hubby is a dentist, so that makes sense! 🙂
haha- true. though that guy is pretty lax on the sugar- monitoring (good thing with my sweet tooth). 😉
did you just pick random pieces of lego to go into the bag, or is it supposed to create something?
thanks
marnie
Hey Marnie, nope, just random pieces. Though, he built something with most of the piles before we put them in- haha! 🙂
Where oh where was this fantabulous idea 5 years ago. :). Our, now 11 year old would have been ecstatic to share these valentines with his then buddies…. Praises be to God that we will be able to use this idea for the new addition to our family! Adoption process has begun. The battle is done and nothing short of a miracle from God. A sweet victory in Jesus! His love has permeated and united so many through the tiniest of hands! Praise oh praises! Thank you for your prayers!
Jen- did you go to court? Did something new happen??? Ohmygoodness, that makes my heart so happy! Please send over details when you have a minute- celebrating with you!
Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant idea. This project kills two birds with one stone. 1. Valentine’s Day class cards/gifts. 2. It gets a few legos out of our house. We love them and we love that our son loves them, but they are EVERYWHERE.
Haha, my thoughts exactly Hope! 🙂
Hi Kirstin! We are using this idea for my 8 year old son! Do you remember what sized bags you used? Thanks!
Hey Abby- love this! I think the bags were 4×6 sized. 😉
