gold leather satchel- everything bag with tons of storage and padded laptop pocket (tutorial to come shortly!)Once upon a time, long, long ago, I made Jord an ‘everything bag.’ It was made to be a diaper bag and camera bag in one. As the years have progressed, that little (ok, giant) tote wandered its way through two babies and a move across the ocean. Its most recent function is a laptop bag and international travel carry on. However, as you probably can imagine, it has sustained quite the wear and tear over the years.

DIY leather satchelEnter The Leather Hide Store. When they contacted me about possibly partnering with them on a project and giveaway, I had the perfect project in mind- a new, extra durable ‘everything bag’ for Jord, with tons of storage, a padded laptop pocket, a sturdy handle and some fabulous styling.ย I’d pinned this messenger bag as inspiration and (after selecting some gorgeous gold leather), got right to work.

handmade leather toteI have to say, I absolutely loved working with this leather from The Leather Hide Store. It is soft and pliable to the touch, is easy to sew with (especially compared to vinyl/pleather), and is just gorgeous. I am so excited to be sending Jord such a durable (and gorgeous!) gift.
