go to signature dress pattern- blog tour

I love Andrea from The Train To Crazy and her fabulous blog! So hearing that she’s started making “Go To” patterns (patterns that will be used over and over again) makes me very excited. Of course, I couldn’t wait to try out the “Signature Dress” pattern.

Things I love about this pattern-

-there are all sorts of options (long length, short length, tunic length, elastic waist, shirred waist, cap sleeves, flutter sleeves, long sleeves- you get the idea). I chose the short length, elastic waist, flutter sleeve, inset pocket option, just FYI.

-it was a QUICK sew (I finished it during one naptime)

-I love the comfy factor of the jersey (and am itching to make a fallish one out of sweater knit)

-the level of difficulty is ‘adventurous beginner’- I think this would make a great sewing project for almost any level of sew-ist

-the finished product is exactly the kind of ‘everyday dress’ that I grab from Piper’s closet again and again

-Andrea’s right- this is a pattern I will use again and again.

Honestly, there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about it- it’s an easy, quick sew that turns into a cute, comfy dress. Lots of great things in that one little sentence.

Also, couldn’t wrap up this post without my favorite outtake (I know it’s fuzzy, but isn’t Piper Jane’s expression classic?).

What are you sewing right now??? Have any of you tried out this pattern?

Cute dress! And I love the idea of using a sweater to make a fall dress … definitely going to try that out.

That is a darling little dress! I love the cap sleeves; for some reason they remind me of Cinderella. The expressions on both of your babes’ faces just kill me! Piper especially. They exude mischief…so precious! Thanks for sharing.
