The Everything Bag

February 15, 2011

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

I got my dream camera last summer. It is all that I’d hoped- sheer fabulousness. Expensive fabulousness. The day it arrived in the mail, I started looking for a new all-in-one camera/diaper bag (bonus points if it could also accommodate my laptop).

Have any of you tried to find such a thing? Burberry makes one– to the tune of $700. And I did spot a few other options, but was deterred either by their price tag or because something else was off. Either the sizing wasn’t what I was hoping for, or the bag didn’t have the ability to function simultaneously as a camera and diaper bag, or it lacked a laptop pocket, or the styling wasn’t my favorite. I know- picky, picky.

So I did what any Everything Bag visionary would do- I told Kirstin all about my dream tote. And she made one for me!

It is a combo diaper/camera bag and it is loaded with tons of pockets for all the baby stuff, re-positionable foam inserts to keep the camera safe and it even has a huge padded sleeve for my laptop! Pair all that functionality with the beautiful (and super heavy duty!) fabric and I am the coolest mama/photog on the block!

Seriously, isn’t it the coolest bag you have ever seen?!

It IS a great bag. And the best part is: once youre past the diaper bag days you'll be able to use it as a weekender/travel bag too:)

Are you kidding me? That is my DREAM bag! We are leaving for a cruise on Sunday and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to bring my *way too expensive* Canon Rebel T2i, plus my iPad AND my daughters diaper bag on the plane… the camera bag is huge, but not big enough for the other stuff, and the diaper bag isn't safe enough for my camera! I need a sister like Kirstin! That is AMAZING.

Amazing! I have been trying to figure out how to make a bag for the exact same reasons and have yet to come up with anything nearly that cute. I hope we get to see the inside too, and a tutorial would put me over the moon!

Would love love love a tutorial for this! I can't find any affordable diaper bags that meet my copious needs and was planning to make one myself. But yours looks far more fab than anything I could dream up.
