little glimpses of goodness to come

If you’ve been reading our blog for any time at all, you know how we love a good handmade gift. This means that every year as the holidays approach, we scurry around, gathering supplies and ideas and attempting to make useful, personal gifts for the people on our lists.

This year, we’ve added a new challenge to the Christmas crafting: Empty. Our. Supply. Bins. We spend an inordinate amount of time discovering and collecting fabulous crafting supplies. It’s time to use them, friends- craft from the stash, holiday style.

Here’s the FANTASTIC news associated with this little handmade gift creating challenge: You get to benefit! For the next few weeks, we’ll have a whole blog series dedicated to handmade gifts organized by craft supply. On the docket:
-felted wool
-patterned paper
-ribbon
-linens (including placemats, table cloths, cloth napkins, dish towels, pillow cases and sheets)
-fabric scraps
-scrap paper
-yarn
-wrapping paper
-Goodwill bound tshirts
-9 x 12 felt sheets
We’ll link to some of the fantastic ideas and creative genius that other people have cooked up
and offer a few tutorials of our own as well. It’s going to be good- get ready.

And just in case you aren’t already on Good News Overload, check back later this week for another fun blog announcement involving one of our all time favorite Christmas decorations. You’ll, benefit from it as well (aka, it’s not an announcement that Kirsti’s beloved stockings are back on the Things To Make list, though that would be terrific). There’s a whole stockpile of goodness coming, friends, a whole stockpile!
